Young Writer’s Showcase 2016

Appleseed Writing Project will host their annual Young Writer’s Showcase on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at IPFW’s Walb Student Union Atrium from 12:30 – 2:00 pm. Guest Author of Tough Boy Sonatas, Curtis Crisler, will be joining us! The showcase is free and open to the public.


 

The Appleseed Writing Project’s Annual Young Writer’s Showcase is now accepting submissions from students in 4th – 12th grades of:

-poetry
-narrative
-expository
-fiction
-short fiction
-science fiction
-persuasive
-song lyrics
-writer’s choice

All submissions must be original work and typed or handwritten in ink (no colored ink or graphics).

Please limit all poetry to 30 lines and all other submissions to 1,000 words. If you have longer works, please submit an excerpt not exceeding 1,000 words.

Group and individual submissions are welcome.

Judges will select entries based on effective use of language, creativity, and originality.
