It’s that time again. The AWP Writers Group will meet Wednesday, September 21st at IPFW in LA160. It may be a pain to make yourself come, but you will be glad you did.
If you want to participate, but the third Wednesday of the month doesn’t work for you, let us know by emailing us at email@example.com. We will try to work out an alternative time.
We have several other exciting things happening next month! We’re still accepting submissions for our Young Writers’ Showcase, and you still have time to register for our AWP T3 Workshop! Connect and reconnect with colleagues and take away some great teaching ideas for your reluctant and not so reluctant writers as well.
The Appleseed Writing Project will be hosting a T3 (Teachers Teaching Teachers) workshop, focusing on reaching reluctant writers. Teachers and educators of all levels (K-16) and from all disciplines are welcome to attend this 3-hour workshop consisting of 3 concurrent 50-minute sessons. Some of the many topics that will be covered will be incorporating technology as a way to engage reluctant writers, brainstorming techniques that encourage reluctant writers to get started, and reaching reluctant writers outside the language arts’ classroom.
Please join us Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon* at IPFW in the Liberal Arts (LA) Building.
Registration is $25 for all teachers and educators, $15 for workshop presenters, and free to all IPFW pre-service teachers.
