Camps are available for students who entered 4th-12th grade in the fall of 2022. Students are divided into three groups:

Elementary School
Students who will enter 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the fall of 2022.
June 13-24 9 am – noon

Middle School
Students who will enter 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall of 2022.

All three Appleseed youth writing camps will include the following:

  • Writing in a variety of genres (poetry, story writing, narratives)
  • Engaging activities and collaboration (choosing a topic, sustained writing time, revising, editing, publishing and sharing)
  • Understanding the writing process (in a variety of writing contexts)
  • Learning in a supportive environment under the tutelage of experienced writing teachers (but without the concern of earning a grade)

All camps are held on the PFW campus, location TBD.

Transportation to and from campus must be provided by parents or caregivers. Students who utilize public transportation will be walked to their bus after each afternoon session by adult camp leaders.
